Bengali is the sixth most spoken language in the world and one of the least taught. Most learners give up in the first month, and almost always for the same reason: the script. This course spends its first module dismantling that barrier — vowels and their attached signs, the consonants in the order that teaches you the sound system, then conjuncts — and by the end of it you are reading.

The rest is what you can do with it. Pronouns and the politeness levels that English lost centuries ago, the verb-final word order, the present tense with one set of endings that works for every verb, then greetings, introductions, questions, numbers, family, food and bargaining, time and directions.

What makes this course different

It teaches the retroflex/dental distinction properly. টাকা and তাকা are different words, and English t sits between them. Most courses mention this; this one drills it.

It respects the politeness system. তুমি and আপনি are not interchangeable, and knowing which to use matters more to a Bengali listener than your accent does.

It covers both standards. Greetings, vocabulary, and the pani/jol split differ between Bangladesh and West Bengal, and the course says so wherever it matters.
